Wolf's Name: Thain
Age: 3.5
Gender: Male
Pack and Position Wanted: Dünen Alpha
Appearance: Massive is usually what you would think of when you first encounter Thain. His thick legs and bulky appearance belie the speed and agility he possesses. His coat is a patchwork of browns and greys, with a cream underside typical of his species. Little nicks and scars riddle his body. He wears them proudly; they are evidence of his strength and training. His eyes are piercingly golden, and intelligent. A look from him often gives the impression he is staring into your very being, taking measure of you.
Personality: Though his bulk may appear imposing, it is his brain that should be feared. Cold and calculating, Thain will do what it takes to get what he wants, and you should pity anyone who gets in his way. A staunch traditionalist by raising, Thain follows Vier rulings wholeheartedly and quickly punishes those who don’t. He is above all efficient, expending the least amount of time and effort to achieve the necessary results. He can be fair, kind even, but only if it benefits him. If you look past the tough exterior, you might consider him handsome. In fact, he’s been known to charm some girls in the past. But why charm when you can take.
History: Thain was born on the outskirts of Dachau to parents who were exiled for choosing mates of different packs. He and his sibling, a brother named Cassar, were reared to follow Dachau traditions so they would not be doomed to their parents' fate. His parents were intensive with their training and lessons, so by the time it came to leave for camp, Thain was well prepared. At one year Thain was sent off to Attiverri where he showed limitless potential as a leader.
Other: Hopefully this isn't too late! I had to rush this because I saw the deadline was today. ^^;
Sample RP:
The heat was oppressive, slowly suffocating the life out of those that dared to wander in the heat of the afternoon. Any slight breeze that dared to stir only served to fan the heat into a choking force to be reckoned with. The sunlight reflected of the sand in blazing glares which would blind any creature insipid enough to challenge Mother Nature.
Thain was comfortable, resting in the back of his personal cave, far from the blistering heat’s reach. Hunting in the morning before the extreme heat swept over the land had proved fruitful. The carcass of a desert hare lay nearby, bones strung out in a gruesome manner. It had been fast, but not fast enough. Its blood still stained Thain’s muzzle.
The male yawned, lips stretching widely to reveal bloody fangs. Afternoons in Dünen were for lack of a better word, boring. While most packs were constantly patrolling borders, training, or hunting, much of the days here were wasted, waiting for the heat to decline. Of course the heat had its advantages: the risk of invasion was slim to none. Wolves unused to Dünen heat often perished within days; hours if they lost their sense of direction. One couldn’t just depend on knowing the lay of the land. The sand dunes were tricky. They liked to change size and location on unsuspecting wolves.
Thain could only sleep for so long. Idly licking a front paw, an idea came to mind. A mid afternoon run to separate those that can handle the heat, or those that will only burn would be fun. Crazy? Maybe, but Thain was bored. Bad things happen when Thain gets bored. Besides, he couldn’t let those foolish packs outside of Dünen get stronger than them. It would be embarrassing. He rose, his massive body quickly filling up most of the available space in his cave giving it the impression the room had been shrunk in half. Walking to the entrance of the cave he gave a quick summoning howl. Come to me those fleabags who dare to call themselves Dünen. He waited. Most of them would not be far away; the gathering would take only minutes. This should be fun. His eerie chuckle filled the cavern.
