Greetings.
It's been a long time, hasn't it? Dachau has certainly seen its ups and downs in the few short months since its grand opening to the public. Many members came--and eventually went. Although there were a few of you who stuck with us to the bitter end. To those few, I say 'thank you' from the bottom of my heart. It means a lot to me that you stood firm with this site, even when the number of 'users online' dwindled to only two or three daily. To those of you who remained loyal, I raise a glass to each and every one of you.
And so, to reflect your loyalty to Dachau, it's time to say:
Dachau is reopening.
I know some of you will be skeptical. After all, we did say this once before, and it only worked for a month at best. But Image and Kirs have offered the site to me, and have decided to step down from any direct involvement with the site. Of course, they're both more than welcome to roleplay on this site, and keep their characters and positions if they'd like. I request that you show these two young women the same respect that you've shown me in the past--they're deserving of it, and after all, without them, we wouldn't have this site at all. In light of this reopening, I ask that you all be patient with me. This is going to be a long, hard road, but ultimately rewarding for all of us in the end. In the coming months, I'm going to need all of your help in getting this place up to speed. This means consistent advertising and site promotion, recruiting new members, and posting. I can't do all of this alone. Furthermore, effective immediately, I will be creating a suggestions forum/sub-board.
This is your chance to tell me what you'd like to see with the site changes. It can be plot ideas, contest/board suggestions (within reason), anything goes and will be taken under heavy consideration. This is your site, too, guys, and I want you to be just as proud of and excited about it as I am.
I will be hiring staff members within the next few months. Also, I'd like an additional coder/graphic artist, so if you have any of those skills, or know someone who does, please let me know ASAP.
That being said, feel free to post below with your questions/comments/concerns, if you have any. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, as well.
Thanks, guys. And welcome back.
